About our home

Our country home is an 500 years old newly renovated estate that consists of our house and three apartments that we let short term. Any of these or a combination is available for house exchange. (Also possible to stay in apartment in Lund if you want to combine w. city visits to Lund, Malmö or Copenhagen, 40 min train ride). The original atmosphere has been preserved by retaining the magnificent 17th century outer stone wall together with whitewashed walls, stoves (for logs) and floors covered with recycled bricks. Beautiful garden, outdoor patios. Our ambition has been to create an ambience with a high degree of design without loosing the feeling of authenticity. We are open for exchange any time of the year. As we have many options for staying, it can also be when we are home. We can offer: The main house w. three bedrooms, a garden, a balcony with an ocean view, modern kitchen, living room and a stove (for logs) Or any of the three apartments with each 2 bedrooms, a living room, stove (for logs), patios. We have broadband, bikes and a small boat. Exchange of cars possible. See the home page

More about us

  1. Annette have two children 21 and 18 years old. I work as a writer and communication manager for an international company. After having spent 5 years renovating our country home we enjoy every second of it and spend more and more time here as we have our companies and are fairly flexible. We love to travel and hope to do so even more in the future. It is a wonderful idea to exchange houses to get to know other cultures in a more intimate way as well as affording to go more often. We have put together a lot of information about what to do and see here. It's nice to be able to show visitors more than the usual sites. That is what we are hoping to experience by exchanging houses as well.

Where is it?

The fishing village of Vik in Österlen (the Provence of Sweden), is just a stone's throw from the harbour. With its white houses, luscious gardens and narrow streets Vik is a unique and well- preserved jewel among the fishing villages on the east coast. Here there are both sandy beaches and beaches with flat rocks within walking distance, as well as two 18-hole golf courses. Walks to Stenshuvud national park or the neighbouring village of Baskemölla are among the finest you can experience. Fishing, golf, cykling, tennis etc. nearby. Here you can take long walks on the beach without meeting anybody even in the summer, the spring and autumn is beautiful as well. The area is known for the creative atmosphere and its many artists/painters as well as festivals and abundance of good foods. It is truly a paradise!
