About our home

Looking for NYC in April/May 2017!!!

2 minutes from the subway, 2 minutes from scenic walks by the water and just a block away from the nightlife of creative Södermalm, our bright and spacious apartment has everything a creative couple needs. Equipped with an upright piano, a mini-music studio (but please be nice to the neighbors and use headphones at night!), TV, shelves just full of books in both Swedish and English, a large canopy bed and cot for the little one as well as a full size kitchen with all amenities.

Nice bathroom, with bathtub. Never runs out of hot water, ever.

The apartment is 69 square meters large, was built in the 1920s with and has typical large windows facing calm courtyards with minimal noise from traffic. The street below leads right down to the canal south of Södermalm and a scenic route for running or walking around Årstaviken. It's just a stone's throw away from all of Södermalm's restaurants, bars, galleries and studios. the neighborhood features a popular farmer's market on Saturdays, craft beer all over the place and Stockholm's best clubbing at "Trädgården" a five minute walk from the apartment.

If you're coming with children, the apartment is child-safe and located just a few minutes walk from several great playgrounds and a popular little petting-zoo. You'll find a large and very vegetarian-friendly supermarket just by the subway, and a mall with a food-court featuring street food varieties from top Swedish restaurants just as close. The subway's green line takes you to Stockholm C in ten minutes, and a 15 minute walk will take you to the ferries leading to the Museum of Modern Art, Skansen, Gröna Lund and the Scenic Djurgården. If you want to venture off Södermalm, that is.

Where is it?

Buzzy restaurants
Too many to count! We love Elefantpojken, Nook & Chow, everything around Nytorget, the high-standard Food-court in the Ringen Mall for quick take-away. The Pizza place Oliven due in the building makes dangerously good Pizzas, too.
Cool bars
Stockholms best nightclub (trädgården) a five minute walk away, featuring vegan fine dining. Draft beer can be found on every corner.
Walks in the park
Amazing walks/running around the water at Årstaviken.
Spot of exercise
Free outdoor gym at Eriksdal (next to the massive indoor pool), several gyms (Sats, First Class etc) as well as hot yoga down the street.
