About our home

Our home lies on the island of Södermalm (South Island) in the heart of the city yet is very quiet and surrounded by trees and parks. The apartment is on the 2nd floor and is very open. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with a single bed. The living room sofa converts to a bed. The kitchen is large. Excellent connections to the rest of the city by boat and bus. Our neighbors are very friendly.

More about us

  1. We are a couple in our 40s with a young teenage son. We want to visit Sicily in 2007 together with my sister and her husband (also in their 40s) and are flexible reguarding travel dates. Ideally we would like to exchange for two weeks, but one week is also of interest.

Neighbourhood

The apartment has a beautiful garden where one can sit outside and grill food late into the summer evening. Our home lies next to 2 large parks (with playgrounds) in a very quiet part of town, yet it is only a 10 min walk to one of Stockholm's most active night-life areas with clubs and restaurants. There are beaches on the island where we live and Stockholm is one of the very few cities in the world where the water is so clean you can go smimming in the center of town. During the summer, the nights are very short and have an almost magical feeling to them. At Midsummer the sun sets around 10:30 pm at night.
