The house was built in 1864 as a stable. It was converted into a house with the highest possible qualities when the whole area "S: t Eriksomradet" was converted into one of the nicest city areas in Stockholm with a tasteful mixture of old and new houses and huge green areas bordered by the waterfront.
The area – and the apartment - have caught a lot of international attention. Prince Charles visited in 2012 to see an example on how an old house is transformed into modern living.

Old cellar with exposed natural stonewalls and vaulted ceiling. Used mostly as home office, also has a small wood working area and a library. One separate room with a double bed and TV/Video (perfect retreat for kids) .
Small patio with Weber gas grill and outside furniture in front of the house (unique in central Stockholm where You normally only find apartments) facing a small square closed to traffic. 25 meters down to the water (Stockholm is built on 28 islands) where You (or the kids...) can fish or take a dip in the water.
