About our home

We hope you will love our cosy apartment with wonderful view over the rooftops as much as we do. The apartment has all the functionalities you need with kitchen, laundry, shower, sauna, TV, Hifi and fast internet connection. The apartment is charming in an old house from 1929. Originally it was 3 apartments which was altered into an exciting place to be in. The kitchen is renewed with modern gas cooker. Dining table in the kitchen sits up to 6 persons. In the livingroom you can watch TV or listen to music on the HiFi. There are two studies to sit in when you want to use the internet which is wireless. The master bedroom has an nice double bed which is electronically adjustable which can be useful when you for example are reading an book in bed. From the bedroom you reach the balcony to the west and enjoy an wonderful view and relax in the chairs on it. The second livingroom/bedroom also has an balcony with an view to the east. It is of course an big benefit to have balconies in two directions depending on the hour of the day you sit on them. If more than two bedrooms is needed it is possible to use any of the remaining rooms. The washing machine is new and easy to use. The bathroom has an nice sauna for two persons. We don´t have a car but we do have four bikes for grownups - Stockholm is a wonderful city for bicycling.

Where is it?

The Maria berg is an popular historical area in central Stockholm. It is the setting for lots of activities in the Millenium trilogy and you could take a guided Millenium tour that passes our house. The area is not disturbed by lots of traffic which makes the evenings very nice specially on the balconies. The area is located on an hill and very close is an very popular walk on the edge of the hill with wonderful view over the city. There is a park next to the walk where we often have picnic with visitors admiring the view. The park also has an playground for children. In close walking distance is the old town which is an wonderful part of the town to visit. There are many restaurants in different price levels close to the apartment. There are also many art galleries close to the house. There are shops in the area and it is close to the bigger shopping areas. We have tubestations for two lines, a lightrail station and additional buses within walking distance.
