Neighbourhood

The house is situated in the scenic countryside, in the heart of Sörmland’s cultural landscape. It is surrounded by prosperous farmland and large forests,
with many exciting and beautiful excursions within reach. You are not only close to the woods, hiking/ kayak trails/ fitness paths but also near castles and several local auctions/markets.

The house is ideally located for those who want to explore the middle of Sweden and make acquaintance with some of Sweden’s historic towns
or just relax in a tranquil area surrounded by forests and shores of several lakes including the lake “Mälaren”. It is only 45 away from the small picturesque city Mariefred where you can explore “Gripsholm castle” from the 16th century, containing the largest collection in northern Europe of portraits. The town has also a wide selection of typical Swedish restaurants.
Just another 40 km away is the historic town Strängsnäs with its cathedral from th 1300th century and restaurants ranging from fine dining to ordinary traditional Swedish. See also http://www.strangnas.se.
