One bedroom has two beds and a bathroom en suite containing shower and bath; we use the second bedroom as an office cum guest room - it has a 90 x 195 cm bed. Features include a master suite, a second office with sofa, living room with fire place; a sunny, modern kitchen and breakfast area, equipped with dish washer, two fridge-freezers, microwave etc. The house has three TVs and WiFi, as well as a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. We are experienced travelers and have had wonderful experiences from four previous home exchanges, to New York, Florence, Tübingen, and San Francisco. Both of us are very considerate and clean (non-smoking) and expect the same from someone who would stay in our home. We promise to respect your home.

Neighbourhood

The house is located in Täby, a quiet and safe suburb of Stockholm, the Venice of the North (http://www.visitstockholm.com/en/), with a fantastic archipelago with thousands of islands (http://www.svetur.se/en/Roslagen/vaxholm/). A mere 10 minutes walk from the house you can catch a train to the centre of Stockholm, which takes about 20 min. Bus and underground is an alternative, takes about the same time (the bus stop is 4-5 min away). Close to the train station is a shopping centre with supermarket, bakery, pizzerias etc. A big shopping mall is 10 min away by car.

We live close to several lakes for swimming, as well as forest regions with wonderful walking trails. Prehistoric times are very much in evidence in Täby. House terraces, graves, stonewalls and old cattle tracks dating from the days when Iron Age farmers tilled their land almost 2000 years ago are still to be found in the fields. In Täby Church from the 13th Century, admirable items of interest include well-preserved, imaginary and decorative ceiling paintings from about 1480.
