About our home

Hey home swap friends!

We are a family of four.
2 adults and 2 courious and lovely kids.
We live in a town called Jönköping.
Jönköping is close to everything. Weather yo wish to see the capital Stockholm, visit Pippi Longstocking at Astrid Lindgrens World of Stories, Gothenburg or even Copenhagen.

Our house is situated in a quiet and friendly neighbourhood, very close to the city center.
Our house is 170 sqm, built in 1958, and getting a makeover to suit a modern family with the love for retro architecture. Renovated with beautiful materials and light colours.
The house has an three original fire places and a big and sunny terrace.

Your children will play safely in the garden, they can pick raspberries, run, cycle around the block, climb trees, jump the trampoline.
The forest is a few just a minutes walk from the house and so are two great parks perfectly inviting for a picknick.

In the area around you will find with lots of shops and restaurangs, the train and busstation and also several playgrounds, lovely parks where you can play soccer, skateboard or give the outdoor gym a go.

If you're more in to cultural activity as theater and music, the concert hall is about a 10 min bike ride away.
In 10 min you can also reach the public beach at beautiful lake Vättern, and just 2 kilomters away you find a nice beach and hiking trails along Axamo lake.

One and a half hours away you will find Gothenburg and the big amusement park Liseberg.
1,5 hours away "Astrid Lindgren´s world "is situated and they both are excellent parks for a family away on holiday.

Our house consists of 3 floors. On the ground floor you will find the master bedroom with a king size bed and small bathroom. In the basement we have a nice room to relax and hang out, watch a movie, feel free to go crazy on the drumkit.
On the first floor you'll fully equipped modern kitchen, the livingroom and diningarea facing the garden.
Just step right out and enjoy the sun deck, great for relaxing or bbq.
Next floor is the second and third bedroom, both fully equipped for kids and fun times.
You will aslo find a balcony and a small hangout area.
We have two bathrooms. One on each floor.
In the basement you will find a sauna and shower.

Our family is Olof, UXdesigner and musician, Tina, musician and ceo of Jönköpings event and entertainment-app Citykoll (be sure to download it for your stay), Dylan 9 years and Pennylane 4 years old.

Beautifully situated in southern Sweden on the shores of lake Vättern, Jönköping offer a vibrant city pulse, beach life and nature on the doorstep. The city centre of Jönköping consists of picturesque alleys and canals opening the city up to the three lakes. East of Jönköping, lies the old mill town of Huskvarna where weapons, appliances and vehicles have been manufactured and sold under the world famous brand Husqvarna since the 17th century. Its industrial heritage has left many cultural treasures to enjoy. Gränna and Visingsö offer enchanting views, manor houses, cobbled roads, bicycle rides, idyllic wooden cabins, castle ruins, paths and oak forests. Wherever you set foot, you find yourself in the middle of a history book.

There is much more to tell about Jönköping and its surroundings – but now it is time for you to explore it!
