About our home

We have a modern, luxury apartment created by an interior designer. Although small, it maximizes the space with an open concept living room and kitchen, quiet bedroom, and luxury bathroom. The living room has a large flat screen TV, bio-ethanol fireplace and leather sofa. The kitchen has a small fridge, induction stove top, oven that is also a microwave and a dishwasher. The bedroom has a queen size bed and a small flat screen TV. The bathroom is divided into two spaces - one room with a large walk in shower and sink, the other with a toilet and sink. The washer and dryer are just down the stairs in the small exclusive building.

More about us

  1. We are in our mid-forties, lawyers by training, and both working in the financial industry. We are originally from Canada but have lived in Geneva for four years. We love to ski, bike, hike and run and are interested in exploring the world. We also enjoy good wine, fine dining and relaxing by the fire. We are looking for a home exchange where we can combine sightseeing, relaxing and running. We will take excellent care of your home and any pets that you may have. We also have a Mini Cooper S which we can consider lending. We would like to do an exchange for two weeks.

Where is it?

The apartment is located in the historical centre of Geneva on a quaint cobblestone street, with an imposing view of the Cathedral St. Pierre. The building dates back to the sixteenth century. There is the main sunny square on your doorstep with cafes perfect for sipping a café and people-watching. There are many restaurants, antique stores, and designer shops in the neighbourhood. The main modern shopping street is a two-minute walk. The lake and the famous Jet d'eau is a 5 minute walk south, with a great pedestrian area, perfect for walking, running, biking or rollerblading. There are numerous ski resorts within a one hour drive from Geneva such as Chamonix, La Clusaz, Flaine and Portes du Soleil. Zermatt is 2 1/2 hours by train or car. Geneva is clean, well-organized and safe. Public transportation is excellent.
