About our home

Our ground-floor apartement with an inner courtyard gives us a cozy feeling in the middle of town. There's a good vibe in the quarter with a friendly neighbourhood.
Public transport is only a stone's throw away – tram, bus, train. The main station is a 10 minutes tram ride.
A good alternative are our bicycles that take you everywhere on the many bikeways in town.
The flat has its own entrance, one bedroom, two bathrooms, kitchen, a living room and two working rooms with the grandpiano and our library. There's also a comfortable double sofa bed in the living room that can be pressed into service if you want to bring family or friends.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Buzzy restaurants
Buscion (best homemade Gnocchis in town), almost everything for your lucullian ambitions
Cool bars
Plüsch, Maiers Raum von AlbisZ (is also a theatre for smaller-scale performing arts)
Cozy cafés
Zum Guten Glück (literally “to the good fortune” - offers a tasty range of sweet and savoury pancakes, waffles and freshly made ice-cream), APART - GrünKulturCafé (has its own cultural programme), Café und Bar Sisu (they offer finnish dainties)
Retail therapy
All your heart/mind desires or even more (depending on your purse)
Bit of culture
Uto-Kino (a charming and authentic "Cinema Paradiso" with a flair for International Independant Pictures), Sogar-Theater (tiny stage but huge subtle experience), Moods (Jazzclub), Rietberg Museum, Gessnerallee (has been the home of avant-garde theatre in Zurich for more than twenty years)
Walks in the park
3' walk away the "Kollerwiese" (in wintertime it serves as sledge hill for the kids), Rieter Park (a mid-19th-century landscape garden) and many other parks (there are about 60 municipal parks to enjoy), another pleasant walk: along the river "Limmat"
Spot of exercise
There are plenty of gyms (I know, I should...), most likeable: jogging in the "Zürichhorn" (along the lake of Zurich)
Day tripping
Berne, Geneva, Lucerne (not to mention: Zurich with its rich cultural life!)
