About our home

This is the guest house 50 m from our main house. As such it does not have any facilities but can be used all year around when we are in residence or taken together with the main house to give more sleeping options.
The detached cottage has 2 big bedroom and a mezzanine floor so teenagers could sleep up there also. There is an interconnecting door between a double room and triple. Each room has its own bathroom with bath and shower and verandah. We can arrange meal packages and excursions - see our website

The cottage is located in the middle of our 120ac farm on the Maasai Steppe. We are 25mins from the Arusha domestic airport and 45mins from the game parks. We can assist with all transfers and booking safaris.
The house is fully staffed with cook, gardener, housemaids and farm manager.
Walking, bicycling is available on the farm.
A safari ready car is available for an extra charge.

More about us

  1. We moved to Tanzania 12 years ago from the UK

  2. We live on our farm with two sons (aged 10 and 8), 4 dogs, 2 cats, 12 cows and 24 sheep.

  3. We both work in safaris putting together bespoke experiences for families, couples or lone travelers who want something a bit different from the norm.

Where is it?

We live on our 120 odd ac farm in the middle of Maasai land. We are 1 hr 45mins form Kilimanjaro International Airport and 1hr 30mins from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
From the farm you can walk, run or bicycle around Maasai Land, meeting the local people who live here much the same way as they have always done.
The scenery is stunning, the farm being surrounded by fumaroles (extinct mini volcanoes) and there are two small unbroken calderas (like the Ngorongoro Crater) nearby.

Buzzy restaurants
Not so much - unless you like roasted goat!
Cool bars
You can get a cold beer - but best to have them brought to the house so you can enjoy the view
Cozy cafés
Nope. But we can give you coffee on the top of hill with amazing views of Mt. Meru and Kilimanjaro
Retail therapy
Bit of culture
Plenty: Walk to a Maasai boma, or go and find one of the last hunter gatherer tribes a couple of hours away. Or go to the local market.
Walks in the park
Walking is best done on the farm or surrounding area. But the closest National Park, Tarangire, is only 45 mins away.
Spot of exercise
Walks as far as the eye can see. We have bicycles too.
Day tripping
Mt. Meru, Tarangire, Ngorongoro, local villages and markets. Even the Serengeti at a pinch but would be better to stay there - we can arrange that for you.
