“We had a delightful stay at Cinda and Alan's home in Chiang Mai. They are wonderful people - and we had the chance to meet in Melbourne before leaving. The comfortable and lovely house was perfectly positioned with so many shops, street food stalls and restaurants close by. Cinda and Alan left plenty of information to help us have a busy two weeks discovering Chiang Mai - and even suggested and booked us into a fantastic cooking course. Miew - the housekeeper was lovely and so helpful and discreet. A fascinating city to explore with beautiful temples, gardens, markets and museums - all made easy and accessible by Cinda and Alan's warmth and hospitality. They also cared for our home beautifully. Thank-you!”
Cinda's reviewsAs a host (2)
“We have just returned from our holiday in Thailand, where we spent a lovely week in Cinda and Alan\'s home in Chiang Mai. It was an enjoyable time for our whole family. Cinda and Alan are such a wonderful and warm - hearted couple, always kind, helpful and so hospitable that they made our stay in their house really unforgettable. Our kids liked to feed the fish and ride a motorcycle:) We had a chance to get to know each other and it was a very nice experience. The house of Cinda and Alan is beautiful, spacious and situated in a very pleasant and safe area. There is so much to do and to see in Chiang Mai - the city and its surrounding is so interesting that in one week we did not manage to do everything we had planned but enough to admit it was worth travelling 9000 km from home. Again, thank you Cinda and Alan for your hospitality and we look forward to your arrival to our home in Poland next year!”
Where is it?
We have recently moved to the center of Chiang Mai city (Nimmanhaemin Road) because it is so convenient and in the midst of everything. We can walk to many restaurants, grocery stores, small local shops, a large shopping center, banks, massage shops, and spas. If needed, there is public transportation readily available 100 meters outside our door. We are surrounded by lots of activity, but the house set back from Nimmanhaeman Road and therefore is very quiet. We can easily escape the hustle and bustle when we want to sit idly in our patio/garden.
Sightseeing options in Chiang Mai: Wat Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai Zoo and Aquarium, Night Safari, Royal Flora Ratchphruek gardens, Sunday Night Walking Street Market, Night Bazaar, Mae Ping, River Cruise, Wat Phra Singh, Huay Teung Thao Reservoir, Mae Sa Valley & Samoeng sightseeing loop, Tiger Kingdom (pet a tiger), Elephant Camp (ride an elephant) or Elephant Training Center Chiang Dao (care for the elephants), bamboo rafting, visit Queen Sirkit Botanical Gardens, take a Thai cooking class, shop for Celadon Ceramics, hike into a Hilltribe Village, participate in a Vipassana Meditation Retreat, or pamper yourself with a very affordable spa excursions, manicures, or pedicures.
