About our home

Our western style home is located in a quiet natural jungle setting only 5 mins from the beach. We have a shared in-ground pool in the estate. Our home has 2 bedrooms with a King size beds in each. The lounge and kitchen are both well equipped with everything you would need. It's a quiet area that you can relax and enjoy your holiday.

Getting Here
Fly into Phuket International Airport, I can arrange for a driver to pick you up and bring you straight to the house for around 1800 Baht

A little about our house

Most houses in Thailand you cannot drink the tap water, however here in our house we have tank water that's perfectly good to drink and cook with.
We have septic toilets here something that is also rare.
We have a mixture of Australian and Thai appliances so you may need to use the adaptors I have around the place for some of them.
List of appliances I have here:
Bread maker
Snack maker
Kitchen Aid
Slow Cooker
Kogan Mini Blender for making smoothies
An electric griddle plate
Electric small oven
Boom box will pick up the wifi and play your music on your phone
Hair dryer
Hair straightener
Fridge freezer in the kitchen
Urn in the kitchen for hot water
snack maker
Drink fridge in the bathroom (where I was suppose to put a washing machine lol)

I don't have a washing machine because its $1.20 per kilo to have them washed dried and folded (so why do it yourself). Good laundry around the corner.
TV of course the TV here is Thai so we have Netflix (silver control) we have the American one as we have VPN express that scramble our location.
There is WIFI in the house.
Swimming pool – this pool is shared by residents its located behind this house, across the car park and down the stone covered path.
The shed – has deck chairs or fold out chairs to take to the pool.
Beach towels – located with the linen in the cupboard in the main bedroom

A few things to know about Thailand
Its customary to take off your shoes when entering someones home
The Thai people love their king and it is an offence to say anything about him
The Thai people are very patient and friendly and will help you when ever they can
50% of Thai's speak English however carry your phone and do Google translate if you are having trouble
Almost every restaurant has free WIFI just ask for their password if its not on the table.
Don't eat off the street vendors who peddle around the streets their food is not refrigerated.
You should pay about 60 to 70% of what there are asking in the market for clothes so remember negotiate and walk away if the price doesn't drop.
When people say Khao Lak that's the area you are in, so dont think they are speaking about another place.
The electricity plugs here do not switch off at the plug they switch off at the power packs.
Soi means Street and you will see it on every street sign
The temperature goes from 20 over night to about 34 during the day all year round, so use the fans and air conditioners that's what they are there for so you get a good night sleep
7/11 stores here sell everything including alcohol and are cheap not like in Australia
