Stylish Koh Samui villa with private pool & garden

“IDEAL!!!! Pour nous qui souhaitions profiter de Koh Samui un peu à l'écart des quartiers fréquentés ou bling bling, ce fut l'idéal : A 15 minutes en scooter des plages et des restaurants, dans un quartier où nous croisions plus d'autochtones que de 4x4, à l'intérieur d'un magnifique parc boisé qui abrite une multitude d'écureuils, d'oiseaux ainsi que de belles villas., vous trouverez la maison de Daniel, à lisière d'un domaine qui est géré par un ami anglais de Daniel : vous serez parfaitement accueillis et accompagnés tout au long de votre séjour. Vous pourrez aussi profiter de la salle de fitness réservée aux résidents du domaine et dans laquelle nous n'avons croisé que les chats du gérant. La maison de Daniel est fort agréable et dispose de toutes les commodités, la vie y est très simple, on s'y sent tout de suite à l'aise, bien chez soi. La villa thaïlandaise voisine,, invisible car elle se trouve vers l'arrière, à l'extérieur du domaine, n'enlève rien au calme et à la sérénité qui règne dans ce magnifique environnement entouré de végétation et d'oiseaux. Le personnel d'entretien (ménage, piscine, jardinier) est fort efficace tout en restant très discret UNE MENTION PARTICULIERE POUR LA PISCINE. Pendant notre séjour de 4 mois en Thaïlande, Covid 19 oblige, nous avons été logés dans 4 villas différentes, toutes avec piscines et celle de Daniel fut de loin la plus agréable : parfaitement entretenue (toujours le bon PH, sans être incommodé par le chlore), son eau toujours transparente sur des carreaux vert clair ainsi que sa situation ombragée donnent l'impression de se baigner en pleine nature à la sortie d'une source, un vrai bonheur! C'est la seule eau rafraichissante que nous ayons trouvée, car souvent en Thaïlande, en plein soleil, les piscines ressemblent vite à des jacuzzis... Seule précaution à prendre, ne jamais courir car le sol est très très glissant glissant autour de la maison. Quand on ajoute en plus l'amabilité ainsi que la disponibilité de Daniel, vous comprendrez que nous ayons prolongé notre séjour... Nous recommandons vivement ce bel endroit. Merci Daniel.”

“We loved our stay in Daniel's home in Koh Samui. The house is equipped with everything you could need. We were well cared for. Koh Samui was an interesting place to visit and we were pleased that we spent 10 days here. The local shops were a short distance away and had there own night market day. Because we had this house swap we ended up doing a 6 week Asian trip, visiting places we had always wanted to visit.”

“Everything was fantastic . We loved Baan Flora and Koh samui ! DAniel provide us all the information we can need and Stuart was so helpful with all our needs. “I did the swap for my brother and his family who lived in Thailand. They had a fabulous time staying at Daniel’s villa. The villa is very spacious and well equipped with every you need. My brother children had lots of fun swimming in the pool and picking some coconuts. Daniel was very flexible and caring host. We hired a car from the airport and spent a week exploring and enjoying all Koh Samui had to offer, intermingled with lots of relaxation, good food and coconut drinks! “This place was absolutely magical nestled in a hidden paradise and was perfectly equipped. Daniels home was absolutely breathtaking with a wonderful pool (perfect temperature), idyllic gardens and a gym onsite. Approx 2km inland, we initially didn't bother with a car and enjoyed the 30 minute walk to the coast where you could easily find shops, eateries and taxis. We eventually hired a car so we could venture further at our convenience (Make sure you pre book car hire as there's little available within 24hrs) Alternatively you can hire scooters nearby but we played safe with the car option. From start to finish Daniel was the perfect host. He has done over 80 swaps and even written a book about House Swapping/Travelling called 'Choose Life' on Amazon. He answered straight away and his handover notes were faultless so no wonder he's an Ambassador for LHS. Koh Samui is fantastic with super beaches, yoga retreats (try Kohfit) and fantastic restaurants (You must try Spices nearby and Cafe Talay on the beach-both fantastic). “Exceptional villa in beautiful, tropical, luscious grounds, full of palms and lawns with a small but deep pool. Felt like you were swimming in a jungle, butterfly farm. The small gated complex of 20 odd villas are well managed and comes with an air conditioned, communal gym all set within coconut plantations. Very well equipped with comfortable beds, laundered bed linen, plenty of towels, air conditioning and fans. Outdoor dinning is also very smart with a covered area equipped with a fan over the table. The kitchen has everything but there is a great Thai takeaway, local restaurants and plenty of choice when eating out all within a few miles. Daniel supplied us with all the necessary information and advice before and during our stay and couldn't have been more helpful. A wonderful experience staying here for three weeks in Koh Samui ”

The gardener is constantly keeping the villa and grounds looking fantastic and the pool is also cleaned regularly. “Very much Enjoyed the trip to Koh Samui and Dan & Clair's home. As the weather was good , most of the time was spent away from the home eating only breakfast before heading out for the day in the hire car . Good local restaurants (Twins) are located at the bottom of the road and China town does a good food market / street food etc on Thursday nights in Mae Nam . There is a great pool at the house and all is set in lovely gardens , secure and looked after by Stuart and his staff at Samran Gardens . The office being open daily can advise you on anything of interest . Hiring a car is easy and driving is on the left as in the U.K. , again this can be organised for you in advance by Stuart . “We stayed at Dan & Claire's wonderful home in Jan 2017. We had a wonderful time and had everything we need (except the weather:-)!!!!. The house is much larger than the photos show and we had plenty of room for our family of 5 adults. The kitchen is very well equipped and the pool was lovely. The house was spotlessly clean with the added bonus of a weekly clean. The complex is exceptionally well maintained. A big thank you to Stuart the on site Manager for organising a mechanic to jump start our car on one of the mornings. The communication from Dan was fantastic and our many emails were answered almost immediately.......thanks Dan. We were just a short drive away form the town of Mae Nam and its wonderful sandy beach. We visited here almost every day and our favourite little beach bar was Moonhut. Lunch was wonderful. Evenings were spent in many of the other towns but our favourite was Fishermans village just a 10 min drive from Mae Nam. We are already planning a return visit and hopefully next time we will be blessed with a little sunshine:-) Thank you Dan & Claire for a wonderful trip. David Lorraine & family”

“We had a great vacation. The house is amazing. Modern and clean. Plenty of space around the pool. We were 6 people stay in the house and it was very comfortably. We had lots of contact with Daniel and he was always quick to respond. Stewart the area manager was very funny and helpful. He helped us arrange a driver that drove us to the beach and restaurants every day. In June there were only a few tourists and never crowded on the beach or at restaurants. It was more that you were one of few guest. I will highly recommend this beautiful house.”

“Daniel and Claire were more than helpful throughout our points swap. They had already stayed with us on a points swap so they talked us through the procedure - all very simple. Their house is lovely and we had a great time, being well looked after by Stuart who looks after the small collection of houses there. “Dan & Claire are the best! We did a non simultaneous swap that worked out perfectly. They stayed in my home & took very good care of it. Their children are very well behaved seasoned travelers. Their home in Koh Samui is very well run & is located in a gated community, beautiful. We rented a car, toured the island, ate lots of pad thai & did lots of activities. My only complaint is that we didn't say longer. We will certainly be back!”

“Everything about the swap was fantastic! The pre swap communication was second to none and we had great local area advice as well as many other things. We met up before we went out to the villa and the whole family are just a delight to talk to. It has been a great opportunity of discovering this amazing island with my family, even if we expected little more from the sea. What did we love more? The wonderful Marine Park' landscape and the jungle. Just a little note about the distance from the beach and the absolute necessity of a car to go out and around and a little disappointment fot the pool which is actually much less wide and long than in the picture.”

“Having recently returned from a wonderful three week stay in Koh Samui at Dan and Clair's marvellous home we can only sing the highest praise for this property, the management, our hosts and this fantastic island. You won't be disappointed to spend some time relaxing here by the poolside and when your ready for some action then this Island and its nearby neighbouring islands will provide plenty of choice. A visit to the night markets (walking streets) is a must as is a thrilling afternoon on the zip line just up the road, snorkelling off Koh Tao or an elephant trek through the jungles near Throng Krut. Koh Samui is as expensive or as inexpensive as you need it to be with everything in between, the beauty being that the cheaper stuff (especially the food) is still pretty dam good!! We can't recommend highly enough a stay at Baan Flora”

“Daniel was very prompt with all communication and was very flexible to accomodate changes requested at the last minute. The Villa is clean and in a fenced off area with about 20 other villas. Renting a car or motor bike is recommended given it is about 2km away from the beach. I will definitely be back!!”
