If you really want to get a way from it all...
The Phuket Beach House is your answer. This small wooden house is located on the Beach of Chalong Bay in the south of Phuket Thailand.
The house sits almost literally right on the sea. From everywhere inside and outside the house on both the upper and lower decks, your view is right out onto the bay.
The community of Chalong is a down to earth mix of local Thai's and expat foreigners (Farang's), mostly Yachters, from around the world who have all decided to make Phuket their home. While there are some guest houses, most of the large hotels are found on the West coast beaches. So the area is not set up to cater to tourist, which may be good or bad depending on your tastes.
While there are several businesses in the neighborhood; travel agencies, restaurants, outdoor markets, grocery stores, gas stations, dive shops, etc.. They all tend to cater to the folks living here, not the tourists dropping in.
The house has a simple Layout. You enter through the bottom level outdoor deck straight into a large living room. At the rear of the living room is a staircase leading up to the bedroom. Underneath the staircase is a full bar stocked to the hilt. To the rear of the bar is a large bathroom with a 24 foot (7m) high ceiling.
At the top of the staircase is the entertainment system, Video, CD, DVD, Satellite Tuner and amplifier. Also storage room for a bicycle or other such items. The upstairs bedroom has a high 14 foot (3.6m) ceiling and two side by side glass doors leading out to an upper deck.
