Relatively new town of Pranburi, rapidly becoming very popular as well with the locals as with tourists. 10 minutes by car to the popular beach of Paknam Pran with many hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions etc. Hospital available nearby, Tesco-Lotus superstore end of the road. Spectacular views of sunrise and sunset over the river while sitting on our quiet riverside terrace. Pranburi is still considered a quiet town compared to the busy wellknown town of Huahin, 20 km north where one can find the nightlife, bars, restaurants etc. Many golfcourses in the area, the nearest is the army course in Pranburi. Many interesting tempels or 'wats' in Pranburi like everywhere in Thailand. Fresh food markets every day in the area, nightmarkets twice a week, Pranburi town has a fantastic daily covered market and all shops available in the main street. Local buses or mini-buses all day long from different stops, many places to visit nearby like Sam Roy Yot Nature Reserve, Pranburi Dam and the beach.
My husband David and I (Josette) Fisher are British nationals, but I was born Dutch. We are retired and over 60. We came to live here 7 years ago and chose this area because it was so quiet and not touristy yet. We both lived in Thailand many years ago when we met and got married in Bangkok. Our daughter was born here and has Thai nationality. She lives in Brazil now and that is the reason why we want to swap houses for one year so we can be with our grandchild for a long time. We have no intention of ever leaving our beautiful home. But we need someone to be there for our 3 dogs, our birds and our garden. They will all be cared for by the servants but we prefer to have responsible supervision in our house and garden. We can both speak Thai, we do love the outdoor life and have played sports all these years. My husband still plays squash actively. I have other interests now, as I am very involved with the dogrescue in the temples in this area. We both lead quiet social lives, enjoy the local food and at home we read (there are many many books available in the house to read), watch films (again a large number of dvd's available) and I love my garden, my birds and my dogs.
