Villa Artemis is located in the peaceful fishing town of Dalyan, a few miles inland of the famous Iztuzu beach where the endangered loggerhead turtles breed. The town is inside a conservation area which maintains the breathtaking countryside and keeps the town a fantastic place for a family holiday.
The villa is perfect for that restful holiday you promised yourself. Set in tranquil surroundings of cotton fields, uninterrupted mountain views and views of the Lycian rock tombs, yet only a 10 minute walk to the centre of Dalyan where you will find everything you need for a perfect holiday.
The accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms. The master has a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. There is also a French balcony in bedrooms 1 and 2. Bedroom 2 and 3 have twin beds and bedroom 3 also benefits from a balcony looking out across cotton fields towards the Lycian rock tombs. A second bathroom with shower completes the first floor.
A large open plan ground floor consists of a fitted kitchen, dining area and a good sized lounge with wireless internet, satellite TV, DVD and an iPod docking system. There is also a downstairs cloakroom.The sofa bed in the lounge enables the villa to accommodate up to 8 people. There is a wood burning stove in the lounge for additional heat in the winter months as although the days can still be as warm as 25ᆼC the nights can be quite cool.
All rooms benefit from air conditioning providing cool air in the summer and warm air heating in the cooler months. Outside there is a large shaded veranda at the front that captures the cooling Dalyan breeze which gives relief on even the hottest of days. A second terrace at the back of the house gives a peaceful relaxing spot to have breakfast or read a book in the morning sun or escape into shade in the afternoon.
The gardens are beautifully landscaped and planted with a variety of trees and shrubs. There is a large kidney shaped infinity type swimming pool with a stepped shallow end and an outside shower. There is a BBQ and two dining tables should you wish to enjoy al fresco meals and sun loungers for whiling away the hours by the pool.
The town is built overlooking the Lycian rock tombs and the ancient city of Kaunos. The ruins of temples, baths, fortifications and a huge ampitheatre are a must see for anyone with an interest in history.
