About our home

We have a beautiful newly built villa in Koyunbaba Bay, near Gumusluk Turkey. It has panoramic sea views from 3 balconies. The interior is spacious with a large kitchen and lounge and has been decorated to a high standard. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 en-suite & one family bathroom on ground floor. There is a communal swimming pool with shower rooms which is open from May to October.

More about us

  1. We are Kathy and Allan, a couple in our late sixties whose children have long flown the nest. Allan is retired and I am semi-retired from my own soft furnishing business. We enjoy our lovely peaceful villa in Turkey very much but are keen to try what sounds like a great way to see other places and allow others to see ours.

Where is it?

Our villa is located in a peaceful area on a hillside which gives us fantastic sea views, however, it is easy to get to the local amenities. A 10 minute drive takes you to the pituresque fishing village of Gumusluk with it's excellent water's edge seafood restaurants. Gumusluk stands on the ancient site of Mydos with it's barely submerged ancient remains is a magnet for snorkelers. Rabbit island is accessed by a partially submerged causeway and is well worth rolling up your trousers for the chance of walking on the ancient ruins. Yalikavak with it's marina is only a 15 min drive away in the other direction and Bodrum town with it's vibrant night life is a 35 min drive away. A car is recommended for exploring the Bodrum peninsular although there is a good network of small minibuses (dolmuses) which go everywhere.
