About our home

Surrounded by hills to the rear, and within walking distance of the picturesque village of Guzelbahce or beautiful garden, this three level home overlooks the blue-green Agean sea, approximately one km away.

With six bedrooms and four bathrooms, this home can easily house a family or small group. The kitchen is fully equipped and laundry facilities are on site.

Complete with vegetable garden (with gardener), home exchange guests can enjoy fresh produce, such as cucumber, tomato, egg plant, pomegranate and quince. A walled enclosure surrounding the grounds provides both security and privacy.

The sun-baked landscape is tempered by the constant breeze from the hills and the sea. It provides a peaceful sound of rustling leaves, and cools the shaded patios and grounds; a hammock gently swinging in the breeze welcomes you.

A 60 minute flight from Istanbul, brings you to Izmir. Guzelbahce is 40 km from the Izmir airport. Various attractions are nearby, and most are within one hour drive from Guzelbahce. To name only a few, Ephesus, the ancient city of Sart, Bergamon, the beautiful beaches at Cesme, and Urla. Markets, shops, outdoor cafes and restaurants abound in all the local towns.

This is village life at its simplest; the sounds of children playing, the bray of a donkey, goats grazing in a nearby field, carpets hung to air on a neighbours fence, the aroma of fresh baked bread, and always, in Turkey, the weather is totally complimentary.
