“We have just come back from a week in Istanbul and loved the city and this apartment. Although the apartment is 18km from the centre of Istanbul we discovered that the best way to avoid traffic was to use the commuter ferries (at 4,40 YTL each way = $2.87 = 1,93 ¤ = £1.74) with great Bosphorus views and around 25 minutes. The apartment was immaculate with a lovely balcony - the doorman will deliver bread daily. Minibuses to the metro station and regular buses into Istanbul run up and down the main road close the apartment too (the apartment is quite a hike up a hill!). Locally there are shops, bars and cafes and fish restaurants. Nearby are two working fishing harbours with many outlets to buy fish and great fish restaurants. Istanbul warrants a full week as there is so much to do!”
