Cengelkoy is a beautiful district in Istanbul with a feel of a small town but with easy access to the hustle and bustle of the big city. The picturesque main street is located on the Bosphurus sea front with traditional green grocers ,flower shops ,patisseries and local restaurants. The locals are all very helpful and friendly. You are located only 2mins walk from the sea bus jetty which is built in the old traditional wooden style structure and has sea buses running frequently to and from all the major areas in Istanbul. Alternatively you may use the very frequent bus service which is also located on the main street ,servicing all areas including the scenic sea route along the Bosphurus, which stops at beautiful towns such as Anadolu Hisar and Kanlica, which should not be missed. Beylerbeyi Palace is only a 15 minute walk from our apartment.
