Hi - our villa is located only several hundred meters from a patrolled beach in one direction and in other a beautiful park set amongst 64 hectares of fantastic gardens an open spaces. In between there is a couple of supermarkets - within walking distance (approx 300m).
We are also a short distance away from the world famous Burj Al Arab Hotel (you know where Aggasi and Federer played tennis) + also close by to the shopping centre with the man made ski slope inside (not to mention the 300+ speciality shops). We are alos a short distance to the Water Theme Park, and generally centrally located to all of Dubai's attractions.
Ours is a large 2 storey 4 bedroom Villa with all mod cons including AC, formal lounge and dining, TV room, Satelite TV, Internet connection, BBQ, Gym, Laundry, Double lock up garage etc We also have large bedroom that we have converted in a toddlers play room/nursery area.
We have a small garden area that requires minimal maintence. Choose from either our mercedes or 4WD if you are eligible to drive and meet the conditions of local requirements.
The house comes with a loveley Sri Lankan live in maid however whilst we are away she effectivly takes her annual holidays. However she has indicate she would be willing to stay to help out if you are willing to pay her accordingly (approx $400US/mnth).
We do not own any pets. We are both non-smokers and do not accept anyone smoking inside our house.
(I will post photos of the villa in the coming days - caught short while completing these details)
My Husband and I are in our mid-late Thirties (and in denial!!) We have two small children one of which is a baby girl born onl in Nov 2006.
My Husband is an engineer here in Dubai working on one of the many fasciating construction projects tha abound. I am a stay at home mum who spends too much time at coffee shops catching up with my Expat Girlfriends!!
We are both Australians born and bred in Queensland. We have been living in Dubai coming up to two years.
We have a large network of other Australian friends here. It is not uncommmon for us to catch up with them on weekends over a BBQ in a park or at any one of our places.
We spend most weekends in aroun Dubai either at the Beach (which is within easy walkin distance) or pottering aroun many of the souks and markets that exist in Dubai. There is a great deal of exploring to be done in and around Dubai. We have had to put the handbrak on camping trips and those oernight adventures until such time as our baby is ready to handle the rough and tough of the outdoor life!!
On week nights we sometimes eat out at any one of the many hotels that serve an wide array fantastic culinary delights. There are many hotels located close by (most withing $10 US by taxi)
not a this point of time - all very easy so far
