Our home is 15 minutes drive away from Downtown, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall. It is a quiet and beautiful place surrounded by lush tropical greenery.
We are now looking for a swap during Christmas/New Year. We are quite flexible with dates. In truth, December, January and February are loveliest months to see Dubai because of the wonderful weather.
Although we are dreaming about a warm-climate getaway, we would consider a European destination too. If Dubai ever crossed your mind as your possible winter destination, write me a message, even if your home is not in the list of my dream countries. I firmly believe that every tiny spot on Earth is worth visiting :)
Our home is loved and well taken care of :) It is a 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor of a beautiful Mediterranean villa. (There is no other apartment on top of ours). It is located in a very quiet, family oriented, gated community with a 24 hour security. Almost all neighbors work in Emirates Airlines - therefore our area is always calm - everybody is up in the skies :)
Our apartment has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (bath tub in one, walk-in shower in the other one), living room joined with the dining area, kitchen with all necessary equipment and 2 balconies.
AC in every room, Free high speed Internet, should you wish to work while in Dubai.
There is a swimming pool, children play area, gym, small SPA and groceries shop 5 minutes on foot away from our home.
It is 15 minutes away from major Dubai attractions and beaches by car. (Burj al Arab, Burj Khalifa, The Palm island, Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Creek, Dubai Miracle Garden, Downtown Dubai, etc.)
I sincerely advice not to plan a trip to Middle East and Gulf region (UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait) during June, July and August. We always joke saying that Dubai, UAE sees only 2 seasons - summer and hell. If your heat tolerance is low - you should not consider coming during the hotter part of the year. On the other hand, starting from October till the end of March - climate is serene. It is not unusual that it's +24 C during Christmas :) Of course, we live here even during the most severe weather (up to +50 C in summer) because even tiny parking lots and grocery shops have A/C. If you don't go to the beach, you may as well be fine here in June and July.
We are dreaming about a trip to Singapore, Bali, Thailand, Spain, Maldives, Seychelles, Peru, Australia, South Africa or similar exotic destinations. Anywhere, really, if it is the right home swap with right people.
There is a master bedroom with a large bathroom and a second bedroom with another bathroom in our home. 4 adults can sleep comfortably. There is a bed for a child up to 5 years old, if necessary.
There is an on-call cleaner that can come and clean up the home. I'd happily arrange it myself or leave the number for you to call. Such things are easy in Dubai. Your laundry can be picked up and delivered back to your doorstep, same with food. I'll tell you about best home-delivery restaurants in any cuisine you fancy (Italian, Thai, Japanese, Indian, Arabic, etc.) along with recommendations where to go for a family brunch or a fine dining night out.
If you consider yourself a responsible driver - we may leave our beautiful Cadillac SRX 2013 for you to use and explore Dubai and other Emirates.
If you don't want to swap but have a question about Dubai (UAE), Muscat (Oman), Amman,(Jordan) or Lithuania - me and my husband will be happy to help. We love making new friends!
I'm looking forward for your message!
