About our home

A spacious and modern Dubai apartment on the 55th floor in walking distance of the beach and Dubai Marina. Floor to ceiling windows in the living room and reception make this a stunning place - overlooks beaches, Burj al Arab and all Dubai!

A lovely one bedroom apartment with floor to ceiling windows, big living space and amazing views of the ocean and Dubai. We are on the top floor of a very modern building which has a fully fitted gym, aerobic exercise studio with boxing and all equipment and a large, sunny pool on the 30th floor overlooking Dubai marina and the sea.

It takes 2 minutes (like really 200m) to walk to the Dubai Marina promenade - full of shops and restaurants, cafes, people watching - and 5-10 minutes to get to the main JBR beach front which is one of the main beaches in Dubai (Ritz Carlton etc. hotels) with an even large selection of both!

We have an extemeley comfortable super king size bed in the main bedroom. The house is children friendly and we are very happy to have them stay. We also have a cleaning company that comes in once a week and can come more often if required for cleaning, ironing etc. There is a fully fitted kitchen, but you are so close to so many great restuarants (happy to give tips) and 24 hour food delivery of every cuisine can imagine.

We are within 10 minutes of events like Ski Dubai, Emirates Mall, Burj and 15 minutes to the Burj Khalifa tower.

Dubai Marina has become the exclusive seaside area of Dubai for professionals and business people.

We travel all the time so can be very flexible on swap dates - even not doing a direct swap - including major holidays, school holidays, Christmas and New Year etc. We are particularly looking at Latin America for July & August 2012- please do get in touch if this is a possibility! But over the next 6 months will be in all parts of the world for work.

Where is it?

Buzzy restaurants
Madinat Jumeriah - huge area with all different types of restaurants, The Meat Co is the best. JBR is a great place to just wander along in the evening - The Ice Cream factory is disgustingly good (try chocolate and mango!)
Cool bars
Birasti is a great place to go and dance on the beach - although not great if you want to sit and drink. The beach front bar at The One & Only hotel (2 mins drive) is great and looks back towards The Palm.
Cozy cafés
The Dubai Marina promenade has multiple cafes where you can sit and watch boats / people. There is a lot of shisha if you like that sort of thing!
Retail therapy
Where to start!!!! Mall of the Emirates is 10 mins drive and has everything from Prada down to key cutting shops! There is a huge Carrefour (which sells delicious meat) which is where we shop.
Bit of culture
Culture is admittedly a little thin on the ground in Dubai - there is a cool warehouse art scene, if you feel brave and want to navigate a maze called Al Basha! Abu Dhabi is a hours drive and has invested more in art - the Guggenheim recently opened a location there.
Walks in the park
The beach is the best - however for green spaces you should head to Safa Park (20 mins drive but avoid rush hour as can be much slower.) Very pretty with lakes and tennis courts
Spot of exercise
Tennis courts in Safa Park (above!) - need to book. Otherwise, appart from the lovely pool in our building, there is a gym and the beach for running on.
Day tripping
So many - the musendam pennisula, Oman is 4 hours drive and stunningly beautiful or the Liwa desert.
