About our home

Our home has been modernised over the last few years to incorporate 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

We have a large, open plan living space that incorporates the living room, dining room, kitchen, and the playroom that is current;y stocked with lots of toys for children aged 1 to 11. This space also leads to the two gardens. The upper level is 2 metres higher as the boundary between the two is where the Romans excavated up to as they used the clay soil.

We are located a very short walk from Brentwood town centre and the all the restaurants and shops that it has to offer. A similar distance away is the train station that is connected to the new Elizabeth Line (Crossrail). The train service into the City of London takes 30 minutes and the trains run every 5 to 10 minutes.

We are in an ideal proximity for visiting London as well as a great location for travelling to other parts of England, and the rest of the UK, being close to the M25.

Our family car, which seats up to 7 people, is also available if needed as is the gym that is set up in the log cabin in the main garden.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Brentwood is on the outskirts of London on the new Crossrail trainline (to be called the Elizabeth Line). It is a leafy town that is around 30 minutes to central London and is close to the M25, which is the main traffic hub in the whole of the UK.

Buzzy restaurants
There are a number of restaurants in the high street which is only a few minutes walk away. Our favourites are Lemon Grass, which is Thai, and Pivaz which is Turkish.
Cool bars
There are a few cool bars in the High Street. The Sugar Hut is particularly famous for fans of reality TV shows.
Cozy cafés
Brentwood Kitchen, White Buddha Cafe, 8Tea3
Retail therapy
The hustle and bustle of Westfield in Stratford is 20 minutes away on the new train line. Other than the the High Street has the UK brands
Bit of culture
First off everything London has to offer is 30 minutes or so on the train. In Brentwood there is the local theatre and events are held at the Cathedral, which is a beautiful building
Walks in the park
There are lots of country parks in and around Brentwood. There is a particularly nice one that holds free park runs (5k on Saturday mornings and 2k on Sundays for Under 14s and their families). The park is called South Weald park and it has wild deer that you can hand feed though the fence.
Spot of exercise
Gym in the Log Cabin, various gyms in the high street just 5 minutes walk. There are the park runs mentioned above that are great.
Day tripping
Anywhere in the UK really. London is the easiest to get to and as you can, and should as it's much less hassle than driving there, go by train you can be free to do as you choose there. I would recommend going to the ceremony of the keys at the Tower of London. It is free and it fantastic.
