Our home is an attrative victorian house in a conservation area of a quaint English market town. It's situated on a quiet private road opposite a victorian park, which is very pretty throughout the year. The house has an abundance of original features, all mod cons, 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large kitchen/dining room, playroom, study and lounge. Outside there is a sizeable garden with own allotment, patio and gravel parking to the front. The sleeping arrangements are 2 double beds, 2 single beds and 2 cots.
We are situated on a quiet road in a victorian conservation area, so therefore it is very pictureque. The park opposite the house is fantastic and a good place to meet local people and families. The town (walking distance to centre) itself is an old market town on the river thames, with lots of amenities, restuarants, pubs and a small museum of local history. Along the river are some nice riverside walks, and the Abbey Meadow is a great place to while away an afternoon or evening, especially if you have a family. The city Oxford is only 5 miles away with its beautiful spires and historic universities etc, the cotwolds 20 miles and London 50 miles. So we are very close to lots of attractions. There is a freequent bus service to Oxford a short walk from the house (a 10 minute ride and huge convenience, as parking in Oxford is terrible), you can also catch a boat there too! This is a great location!!!
We are a family of 6 - John, Karen and 4 boys, Barney 8, Joe 4 and Caspar and Franz 2. John is a telecoms professional working in London and Karen a stay at home mum. We all love adventure and are looking forward to some new experiences - travelling. John is a keen cyclist, while Karen is very practical and likes arts and crafts and her allotment. The boys like lego, music, films and playing. As a family we like getting out and camping.
