About our home

Falstaff House, a cosy and traditional stone terraced cottage, is in the heart of the beautiful market town of Alnwick Northumberland, home of Harry Potter's Castle. 10 minutes drive to the beach. 5 minutes drive to beautiful English countryside. Edinburgh, Durham and York are all easily accessible by train or car.
An excellent base to visit the north of England and Scotland.
Falstaff House is a Grade II listed building in the English statutory list of "Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest".
The Harry Potter movies and some of the Downton Abbey episodes were filmed in Alnwick.

  1. I have 3 boys - two at university (Joseph in Edinburgh, Fergus in Sheffield) and our youngest, Tom is still at school

  2. My husband is a barrister and I run my own holiday cottage business

  3. We love travel and seeing the world, we are friendly and easy - going and excited about going onto Love Home Swap!
