About our home

Stay in this wonderfully luxurious yet homely wing of Mappleton Manor, the very house where George Elliott wrote Adam Bede. Relax in the stunning Georgian sitting room, complete with original sash windows and shutters and enjoy the amazing 360 degrees uninterruppted views of the Derbyshire Peak District - English country living at its very best.

There are two large bedrooms with kingsize beds and one twin room with 2 single beds - all with cool, comfortable cotton bedlinen and luxury mattresses, guaranteeing a wonderful night's sleep in this olde worlde, forgotten spot of England.

On your doorstep are cultural highlights such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall or riotous fun at Alton Towers. Or stunning walks right from the front door.

Accessed down a long private sweeping drive, this wing of Mappleton Manor is completely private with its own private garden and looks over to the towering peaks of Thorpe Cloud and other hills of the famous Peak District beyond.

You will never tire of things to do and places to see.
