About our home

Our lovely family home was completed in June 2011 and is a wonderful light filled house with clean lines and a contemporary finish.

We have 4 bedrooms, 2 of which have their own en-suite shower rooms and the other 2 (our children's rooms) share a Jack and Jill bathroom. The main bedroom has a standard double bed, the guest room has two single beds that can be left as singles or zipped and linked together to create a king sized bed and the children's rooms have single beds (one with a truckle).
Swaps include our lovely cat Mabel who will love you to make a fuss of her - you'll just need to give her a little time to get used to you!

Ashwell is a picturesque village set in North Hertfordshire and boasts 3 pubs (all serving excellent food), a butchers, bakery, coffee shop, corner shop, hairdressers, gift shop, jewellers, art gallery and even a museum! There is also a doctors, a dentist & pharmacy. It is a very friendly village and was awarded the title of 'North Hertfordshire Village of the Year 2010'. There are frequently village events taking place and the annual Ashwell Show (in its 90th year in 2011), is one of the longest running country shows in the area and the largest in North Hertfordshire achieving up to 10,000 visitors on the single show day. No mean feat when you consider there are only 1,700 people living here!

The source of the River Cam (famous for the punting in Cambridge) is in Ashwell - known as The Springs - it is a regular place for visitors to the village to picnic and paddle their feet.

The village is situated within easy driving distance or rail travel distance of Cambridge and Central London (Ashwell and Morden Station to Kings Cross station takes only 35 mins during peak times). Ashwell is also only 40 mins drive away from the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour - a must for Potter fans!
