A clean, recently redecorated 3 bed terraced house in the centre of Banbury market town, with 24 hour shops and shopping under 5 minutes away - and a few minutes drive off the M40. An urban retreat - very close to the bus and rail station and m40 linking to the rest of stunning rural Oxfordshire and easy links to the midlands and Shakespeare Country. The house has a private terrace at the back, which can be used either as a gated parking space or as a gravel garden with patio set. The garden has a large, currently unused, rabbit hutch and run so you could even bring your rabbit/guinea pigs along - will consider other pets on application, though please no dogs.
Living room has sofas for 5, and floor space for play, we also have four dining chairs for the kitchen table.
Kitchen is equipped with a gas oven and hobs, microwave and fridge freezer all less than a year old. The house has two bathrooms - one small with shower, sink and toilet on the ground floor and a (very!) large family bathroom on the second floor with a large shower, bath, sink and toilet. We have a washing machine, but no drier - washing line outside on a sunny day or inside on the clothes horse.
On the second floor is the master bedroom with a superking sized luxury bed, and a cot. on the top floor is a single bedroom (the nursery sans cot) which has a single bed, and a third bedroom which has a double bed and a futon, which pulls out to become a small double bed. We also have a double air bed if needed.
so, based on parents and children in seperate beds the house could sleep 5, and a baby/toddler.
If no one minded sharing the double beds the house could sleep 7, and a baby/toddler.
And if we included the airbed (sharing in the living room) that could be 9 and a baby/toddler!
We are book lovers (with books for children, teenagers, adults and bibliophiles) , and have no tv - so this is the perfect retreat from tv centred family life. We do however have two fish tanks, which wouldn't require any effort on your part thanks to holiday fish food. We do have wifi broadband (and a pc/ laptop) and a telephone which you would be free to call any uk house phone number from. The house is centrally heated, and cool in the summer.
We have a 5 month old DD so we have plenty of toys suitable for babies and toddlers - and a highchair and bumbo seat. we also have a steriliser.
Locally, we are a two minute walk from the local attraction 'The Banbury Cross' and the white horse statue, we have two very large parks nearby, perfect for children. We are very close to the canal, which is in constant use and has some wonderful wildlife walks - with a small reservoir and nature trail not too far off. More mainstream - we have a cinema and a superbowl in walking distance too. And lots of good restaurants. We can recommend our favourites!
This is a fairly quiet street - though the road can get packed with people finding parking for shopping in town - though gratefully we have private parking at the rear. This isn't a picturesque mansion, but it's location is ideal for those with or without a car (we are, ourselves a car free family) and looking for accommodation for small or large families.
