About our home

The house: The principal wing of a Tudor manor house in the Chiltern hills. Much of the property is constructed from historic reclaimed materials, originating from Eltham Palace.

The gardens: The gardens are in excess of three quarters of an acre. The property's south facing flagstone terrace runs the width of the property, affording elevated views over the Chilterns. The property also leads on to a private gate and footpath for walks to Witheridge Woods, and 'The Royal Standard Pub' (award-winning pub and the oldest freehouse in England -

The location: There is a best-of-both-worlds quality to the property - the house has a sense of being in the country, but it is also less than a mile to the train station, with central London then only 25 mins away.

Beaconsfield (HP9) is well suited not only for London, but also for:
Henley-on-Thames (19 miles/25 mins drive)
Oxford (37 miles/47 mins drive),
Stratford-upon-Avon (65 miles/70 min drive), and
Brighton (70 miles/75 mins drive).

Shopping: Bicester village ( is 35 miles/40 min drive away.
