About our home

POINTS SWAP AVAILABLE 10th AUGUST to 24th AUGUST 2019

Large 4 bedroom home, recently extended and renovated - set within an acre of grounds. Large light and airy kitchen diner is the hub of our home with casual and formal dining areas and a comfy snug with Sky TV and PS4. Fully equipped separate playroom with PS4. Beautiful formal sitting room with Sky TV and double sofa bed if required. Downstairs WC and utility room. 4 large double bedrooms, 2 en-suite. Large family bathroom with classic roll top bath. We have our own water straight from the Mendip Hills - this is all filtered and cleaned onsite for safe drinking.

The large garden has river frontage and views over expansive countryside. Large covered veranda perfect for evening entertaining and BBQ's. Parking for 5+ cars. Smoking is permitted outside only.

Bed linen and towels are included.

Within walking distance to the beautiful city of Wells in Somerset and a short drive to the mystic town of Glastonbury. 3 Miles from Glastonbury festival. 25 miles from Bath and Bristol. 20 mins to Castle Cary Railway station which takes you direct to London in 1hr and 40 mins. 30 mins drive from Bristol Airport, 2 hrs from Heathrow and 2.5 hrs from Gatwick.

Wells has a beautiful Cathedral dating back to the 1100's and the Bishops Palace - the official home of the Bishop of Bath & Wells. Both are open to the public. On Wednesday's and Saturday's there is an amazing farmers' market in the Square. The high street has lots of independent and other shops, cafes etc. There are 4 supermarkets - Tesco, Waitrose, Morrisons and Lidl. Aldi is in Glastonbury and Shepton Mallet. Another Tesco is in Glastonbury with a much larger Tesco in Shepton Mallet - 5 miles.

This is a superb location for families with young or older children, or for groups of friends wanting to explore the beautiful Somerset countryside and beyond.

Please be aware that we have a cat, Wooster, who will be at the property - he just needs feeding and the occasional stroke to keep him happy.

My Mother and Step Father live next door so are on hand to help if required.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The medieval city of Wells is the smallest city in England. A quaint place with a busy high street. The Cathedral and the Bishops Palace are beautiful and well worth a visit. The mystic town of Glastonbury is a 10 minute drive away with a high street of independent shops and the world famous Glastonbury Tor. The Georgian city of Bath is only 25 miles from Wells. This is an ideal location to visit Somerset and the beautiful South West of England.
