“I booked Kate's property via Instant, as a treat for my sister, three of her friends and their dogs. They had a fantastic time and particularly mentioned how lovely the house was, comfortable and welcoming and a great place to return to after exploring the surrounding areas. Not easy to find somewhere dog-friendly and they really appreciated it. Thanks so much Kate for making their stay so wonderful.”
Where is it?
Our house is set in Highampton a small peaceful village in rural Devon and is an ideal location for exploring the beautiful counties of both Devon and Cornwall. With a traditional thatched pub and ancient church in the village, and just 1.5miles from the medieval village of Sheepwash where there is another lovely pub that does great meals and a village shop. There is a river on the edge of the village as well as fishing lakes, the Ruby Way cycle trail and other popular cycle routes. The nearby market town of Hatherleigh has all the essential amenities including a supermarket, petrol station, great little cafe, post office, pubs, kids playground. We are just a short drive from Dartmoor National Park and the Beaches of North Cornwall, including the beautiful beach of Sandymouth. The Cornish harbour towns of Boscastle and Port Isaac are also an easy drive from here.
