About our home

We have a four bedroom home in which only three rooms are bedrooms. One is a study. However one room has a bunk bed which accomodates a double below and single on the top. The other rooms both have double beds. We have two small dogs and a cat the dogs usually stay with a dog minder when we go away. The cat sleeps in the small conservatory at the back of the house and has a cat flap. Our house is 3 mins walk from the beach and railway line in a nice select area. A short 10 min walk will take you to the village. We are within 2 miles of Bexhill, 3/4miles Hastings and approx 3/4miles to Eastbourne. Lots of other places of interest in 1066 country. We are a couple in our 50s who have 5 grandchilren who stay with us on a regular basis so our home is nice, very clean but lived in and ideal for families. We have one family bathroom and a downstairs shower room which is off the kitchen.

We moved here 6 years ago as we have always loved this part of the country. Dave's Mother had a bunglalow on the beach at Pevensey which she sold about 10 years ago and it was always our intetion to move here eventually. We particularly like this area as it is quiet but so near to the beach that we can enjoy lovely long walks. There is a hotel on the beach which serves good food and drinks on the beach. It is called the Cooden Beah Hotel. The station is also very handy as it can also take you to Brighton which is another place of interest (approx 30 miles away). Another place of interest are Pevensey Bay and Castle. If anyone would like to visit London this can also be acheived quite easily by getting a train fromCooden Beach Battle or which would take about 2 hrs or 1hr and 30 mins.

As I have mentioned we are a couple in our 50s. My husband is due to retire soon and he has worked as a Commercial Claims Manager for an Insurnace Company for 42 years. I am a part time secretary for a local firm of solicitors. We have been married for 11 years this year and have a family of four between us by our previous marriages. We enjoy a good relationship with our children and our grandchildren and our house is a happy one with a lot of family gatherings.
