About our home

Our home is a clean and bright newly refurbished and extended 1960s detached house on the most desireable road in the town (very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views). It has a large family living/dining/kitchen as well as separate kids den (plus utility room and study). 2 of the 4 bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and there is also a family bathroom. Bishop's Stortford is a picturesque historic market town (5 minutes walk to the centre) with great gift shops. Close by is a friendly cricket field, tennis, squash, rugby club, swimming pool, gym and playground within 5 minutes walk (memberships can be arranged). It has great road and rail links to Stansted Airport (15 mins drive/train), Cambridge (25 mins) and London (30 mins). If you are staying during teh 2012 Olympic Games you will find it a very good location to visit many of the Olympic venues: 45 mins to Olympic Stadium, 20 mins to Lee Valley (canoeing), 40 mins to Benfleet (mountain biking), 45 mins to Wembley Stadium (soccer). There are lots of great pubs and restaurants in town and surrounding area.
