Our Stunning Detached Edwardian Villa was completely renovated in 2011, with a special listing for it's architectural merit. The most significant thing I could say about our home is that it is situated in the most idyllic village location, the small hamlet of Blackheath is nestled in the Surrey Hills in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty cut into heathland with pine woods. Heath House overlooks the village cricket square yet it is only 35 mins to Waterloo London via train from Guildford. Nearby, a short drive or ramble is the famous village of Shere with its ford, ducks to feed, two pubs, shops, a teashop, blacksmith and an ancient church, lovely old stone cottages. It is no wonder that Shere has been chosen as a location for a number of film productions. 'Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason', starring Renee Zellweger and the 2006 film, 'The Holiday', starring Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Cameron Diaz and Jack Black, both feature Shere. We have a state of the art kitchen with AGA (range cooker). There is a master bedroom with super king size bed which is air-conditioned, dressing room and en-suite bathroom and the other four double bedrooms all have king size beds with en-suite power showers. There are literally miles of sandy tracks for riding, walking, cycling (a few minutes cycle from the Olympic Surrey Hills Cycle Route), running etc. on the doorstep. The community of Blackheath is warm and friendly and you can enjoy a drink at the wonderful Cricket Pavilion with all the locals or just sit on our stunning heated veranda drinking cocktails. We have a heated swimming pool with electric cover (summer months May - Aug) a small gym and even an artist studio. The Historic University town of Guildford is only a 10 min train or car ride away. The coast is approximately 1 hours drive to famous resorts such as Brighton, Chichester and the Witterings
