“This beautiful property and the beautiful people who own and care for it are exceptional in the highest sense. At the risk of sounding effusive, we easily rate our entire experience a plus, plus five and a fulfilling memory. Our hosts’ heartfelt generosities included their adorable young daughter making pudding for us. “Like apples in her skirt and these are all for you.” Delivered with tenderness. This is a special, magical place as is all of Cornwall where friendship is the greatest takeaway. With much gratitude and affection to Katrina and the entire family.”
Katrina's reviewsAs a host (6)
“We had a great time in Cornwall. The house is huge with beautiful gardens. The location is perfect because the coast is quite near. We enjoyed the bike ride to Padstow, the children loved fishing crabs , practising paddle surf and kayaking in Falmouth.People are very friendly there. It is a very beautiful part of England.Communication with Katrina and Richard was excellent. Thank you.”
“Katrina and Richard have a wonderful home which we were privileged to share. Communication was good and on arrival we felt immediately comfortable and welcome. We felt well support and a minor problem with the electrics was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Bodmin is well placed for exploring North Cornwall. We particularly enjoyed the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the bike ride from Wadebridge into Padstow along the Camel Trail. Katrina, Richard and family in return were great guests in our home. Thank you both for a successful swap.”
“We had a fabulous stay at Barn Park. The location was ideal, only a short walk to the lovely town of Bodmin, the local park, restaurants and supermarkets. We had lots of day trips to different beach towns, our favourites being Mevagissy and Fowey! The communication with Richard and Katrina was great, everything was made very easy, even down to the car swap and feeding each others cats. The cats, Ziggy and Wurley were very friendly and easy going. Barn Park is an impressive converted Georgian property where a quality finish and attention to detail is evident throughout. We spent a lot of time in the beautiful gardens, taking the kids for daily walks, picnicking and playing hide and seek. The house, especially the kitchen, was so well equipped, we did not want for anything. We had a wonderful holiday thanks to Katrina and Richard, we hope to visit again! ”
“We spent a great week in this wonderful historical country house, beautifully decorated in true English style and surrounded by a delicious park! Here you are in the heart of Cornwall, wich is an amazing region, full of magic and poetry: we have admired the best landscapes ever seen! We loved so much this part of Great Britain, but we also loved nery much this suggestive house... Katrina and Richard are perfect guests, and we have received a charming and full of care hospitality in their home. We will never forget their kindness and the special beauty of their home. Absolutely perfect and extraordinary exchange, we hope to repeat in the future such a lovely experience... Thank you for all, dear friends!”
“our swap was hitch free, everything we had hoped for and a little bit more”
