About our home

Our lovely home is a spacious Victorian terrace, with three bedrooms; a large kitchen/diner; cable/satellite TV; wifi; and a great library of books. Our garden is small but perfectly formed and ideal for outdoors eating - if the Brighton sun is shining. Which it always is in Brighton!
We are just a 3 min walk from local shops and 15 mins from the city centre, which offers fantastic shops, superb restaurants and loads of great pubs. It's also a 25 min walk to the beach. There's a lovely park just 5 mins walk away with a great playground and cafe. You don't need a car as everything is walking distance, but it can be handy for exploring the South Downs, just 10 min drive away. We also have a very friendly cat that will need feeding.

More about us

  1. We are a married couple with a 4-year-old daughter and 10-month-old baby boy

  2. I am a freelance journalist and my husband is a web designer

  3. Despite living in a city, we love the great outdoors. I'm a keen horse rider and we both love snowboarding, which we hope our kids will take up. Our 4-yr-old is already riding, but not been on skis yet! Also partial to a good film or book and glass of red wine.

Where is it?

Buzzy restaurants
Chilli Pickle, Preston Park Tavern, Ginger Dog are our favourites but there so many more
Cool bars
Too many to mention but we love the Open House
Cozy cafés
Nia Cafe is lovely, but just head to North Laine for a great selection
Retail therapy
North Laine is great for quicky, boutique shops. My favourite shops are Badger and The Lavendar Rooms
Bit of culture
Theatre, music, museums. You name it, we've got it. And just 50 mins on the train to London for loads more.
Walks in the park
Blakers park is great if you have kids and just 5 mins walk away. A bigger park is Preson Park (10mins away) or jump in the car and go to Stanmer Park which is beautiful.
Spot of exercise
Kitesurfing, windsurfing, horseriding, tennis, hire bikes down on the seafront or go for a run.
Day tripping
London is just 50 mins away on the train, but there is also loads on in Sussex for kids and culture vultures alike.
