Where is it?
We live in a small town (Newhaven)on the South Coast of England. Everything you need (grocery store, chemist, library etc)is within walking distance. The swimming pool is also only 5 mins walk away. The location of the town is perfect as a base to explore the South of England with great transport links via road and rail. Our home is 50 miles away from London which can be accessed via train (the railway station that is a 10 minute walk away!). There is also a Ferry terminal 10 minutes walk from our home which leaves daily for France. The journey to Dieppe takes about 4 hours.

Lonely Planet has rated Brighton as one of the top 10 best city beaches in the world: 'Brighton is the most vibrant seaside resort in England. Just an hour from London, it is a thriving, cosmopolitan city with a Bohemian spirit; home to an exuberant gay community, a dynamic student population and a healthy number of ageing and new-age hippies, as well as traditional candyfloss fun. The beach is made up of pebbles, not sand, but that doesn't stop the crowds heading here in their droves. Whether it’s midday sunbathing or midnight partying, Brighton beach seems to be in use at all times'. http://www.lonelyplanet.com/spain/barcelona/travel-tips-and-articles/76442 Accessed on: 07.12.2012
