About our home

Our home is a 1935 semi detached with drive to the side and a lovely garden to rear which includes a patio, lawn with a secluded quiet area at the bottom. We are not directly overlooked by any other houses. There is also a park with tennis courts immediately opposite and walks through lanes to Blaise Castle Estate.
We have recently completely modernized our kitchen and bathroom, which has a large bath, WC and walk-in shower. Our lounge and dining room are very comfortable and includes a piano...if you like to play and there are patio doors to the garden. The lounge sofa also converts to a double bed. There is also a downstairs loo.
Upstairs, as well as the bathroom we have three double bedrooms one queen size with pine flooring and the third bedroom is now used as a modern 'office'. We can go up again to the loft conversion which we use as a guest double bedroom (& is great for drying and ironing.)As it is so high up there is a lovely view over the garden. We have lived in our light and airy house for over 30 years and love the whole ambience.

Wendie's reviews

More about us

  1. We are Terry and Wendie, both retired professionals, Wendie is a retired teacher. We are non- smokers and trying to lead a very active life. We have travelled to Sydney many times as our son lives there, but his expanding family means we can no longer stay with them. We are interested in any offer of an exchange & will always answer emails promptly. We have now completed over 20 lovely exchanges through various sites

  2. We have many interests besides the gardening, DIY and keeping the home up together. We enjoy doing some voluntary work at our local church & Terry is still involved in the Scout Association.

  3. We enjoy travelling and re-visiting much- loved places, especially Cornwall with our family in UK. We like to explore the cultural and heritage backgrounds of every place we visit. All Music also figures strongly , especially folk songs and learning the banjo.
