About our home

I am a designer and artist and rescued my home 4 years ago from rack and ruin. It feels like a cross between a rural farmhouse and a classy town villa. It is decorated in an eclectic style with vintage wallpapers, oddities and quirks picked up from my travels ( inlayed mirror work in the sitting room, carved panelled doors in the kitchen.) It is comfortable with a beautiful sitting room full of light and an open fireplace; and very quiet at the back of the house which leads out onto a large garden with a terrace and trees. There is a cat called "The Duchess' who lives in the house and will need scratching and feeding once a day! ( I have neighbours and friends who can also look after her if you are not going to be there.) The area is the Trendy artists quarter in Bristol with lots of cafes and bars 5 minutes walk away. The multi award winning Bell's Dinner is a stones throw away as well as the award winning Thali Cafe and the best bakery in Bristol is round the corner. Great for Banksy spotting and for striking out on foot to find every thing else that Bristol has to offer with its rich history, vibrant cultural scene, waterside and stunning architecture. Bath is half and hours drive away or 10 minutes on the train. The Cotswolds and Devon are an hours drive away, Wales is across the bridge and London is 2 hours by train or 2.5 hours by car.
