A beautiful Georgian apartment, with stunning period features. The main front room has huge Georgian windows, bathing the room in sunlight, and opening out onto a balcony - perfect for breakfast in the sun.
The main room is a very large open plan lounge, kitchen diner. The modern kitchen is well equipped for the enthusiastic cook, with all the equipment you could need. If you prefer to eat out, Bristol is a foodies paradise, with a wealth of fantastic restaurants. There is a particular focus on local, seasonal, produce and artisan products, with many fabulous delis locally.
Bristol is also famous for the arts, with a number of galleries and museums on the doorstep. The Watershed is a culture haven, hosting fascinating talks and discussions throughout the week and art house cinema. Right on the doorstep you'll find St Georges Hall, a stunning concert hall, famous for its exceptionally fine acoustics and the world's best in classical, jazz, world music and opera.
Bristol is an historic city with many tours and attractions. At the end of the road you'll find Cabot Tower in the beautiful Brandon Hill park. You can climb the tower for a 360 deg view of the city. Built in honor of Sir John Cabot.
The Clifton suspension bridge is probably one of Bristol's most well known spectacles, completed in 1864. It was designed by 24 year old Isambard Kingdom Brunel, who entered the design into the design competition - original designs of all the competition entries can be seen in the bridge museum. The structure is quite stunning and attracts visitors from across the world.
You can go back in time and step aboard Brunel's SS Great Britain, and discover the true stories behind the ship that changed the world. Or take a trip along river, to see the city from a new aspect.
We have a beautiful Cathedral, zoo and many parks and gardens, it is a very green city.
The new Cabot Circus shopping centre provides all the shopping you could ever dream of. In addition the house is just off the slightly more alternative Park Street, with many independent shops.
Clifton village provides a delightful boutique shopping experience amongst, attractive Georgian properties.
Just 10 minutes walks from the house you'll find the Bristol Lido - our favourite place to go and sit with a coffee and relax. You can go for a swim, sauna and enjoy the hot tub, and there are also a range of wonderful spa treatments available. Alternatively if you don't want to swim, you can just go and enjoy the brasserie, for a drink or breakfast or lunch, sitting indoors or out on the terrace. The gentle sound of the water provides the most relaxing atmosphere. It offers free wifi and you'll often find people working peacefully on there laptops, in the blissful surroundings. Upstairs you'll find one of Bristol's fabulous restaurants - open for lunch and dinner - all dishes lovingly prepared with local, seasonal ingredients.
There are many great cocktail bars and some secret, hide away, exclusive clubs - which we can give you details of. If you're looking for dancing and clubs, there is also a wide selection catering for all tastes. The Canteen, about 15 minutes walk away, offers live music every night.
We have numerous comedy clubs and big production theatres, with the latest Westend shows.
This just highlights a few of the things to do in this vibrant city. It's a wonderful place to live and great fun to visit.
Our apartment is perfectly situated, right in the centre of everything, and yet tucked away down a side street by the park - so beautiful and quiet.
If you do get bored of Bristol we are only 1hr 45mins to the capital London on the train and in easy reach of the Cotswolds and Somerset and only 1.5hrs drive to the beautiful Dorset coast.
