About our home

Lovely bright and modern home with a fab new open plan kitchen/dining area leading into a functional conservatory and south facing decked/granite slabbed garden. Downstairs there is also a large walk-in shower room for added convenience, so no more queuing for the toilet! Very close to the beautiful beaches of Broadstairs and main Viking Bay (1.9 miles). The Thanet Loop bus service is literally less than a 5 minute walk away which takes you all over Thanet, and you can easily get to Margate and Ramsgate where there are plenty of things to see and do, like visiting The Turner Contemporary, checking out the eclectic shops/bars/quaint eateries and admiring the many wonderful beaches we have along this spectacular Kent coast line. Asdas supermarket is a mere 10 minute walk and there is also a very large Tescos 0.4 miles away. Broadstairs train station is less than 2 miles away you can easily get to Canterbury, Whitstable, Faversham and Ashford. The high speed train into London St Pancras takes only 75 minutes and trains run regularly. There is also ample parking for 2 cars and off-road parking immediately outside the house, as I live in a little friendly close of properties.

More about us

  1. Hello All!

I am a professional self-employed nurse who after many years of working in the NHS and private sector now has the time and flexibility to go travelling again!
I am able to be very flexible with dates as do not have set working patterns now. I am a very tidy and house proud person, having recently had quite a lot of refurbishment done within my property, and would certainly treat your house with the upmost care and respect as if it were my own.

  2. I love experimenting with different colours and looks, and as an avid fan of pastel palettes this is certainly reflected in my home! My home is my retreat and haven where I can totally relax and chill out, and you will find a couple of comfy chaise-lounges and cosy rugs to feel totally relaxed after a busy day. Living near the sea I spend a lot of time on the beaches or sitting out in my warm and sunny garden in the early summer evenings. I also do a lot of walking/running and there are some lovely coastal walks/runs here.

  3. I would be travelling with my best friend Carol whom I have known for many years. Like me she loves to travel and is also a very clean, organised and tidy soul. Please note that my job as a qualified nurse entails a yearly DBS police check which can be verified by anyone wishing to swap.

Where is it?

Broadstairs is a quaint yet busy pretty little seaside town. It is flanked by Margate and Ramsgate, but is generally referred to as the 'jewel in Thanet's crown'! There are many things to do, see and explore. Not only are there beautiful stretches of sandy beaches but there are coastal trails which you can walk along or safely bike, or you could visit the quaint town of Sandwich, where the Golf Open was held back in 2003, with it's narrow streets, quirky architecture and beautiful unspoilt Sandwich Bay beach. The historic cathedral town of Canterbury is a mere 35 minute train ride away and is steeped in history, has loads to explore and plenty of shops/retail opportunities! A full day trip needed. There are many pubs, child friendly restaurants and eateries all over Broadstairs and Thanet, and Charles Dicken's house is located along the seafront and also Bleak House, where he found the inspiration to write many of his novels. There are numerous food festivals and events throughout the year and it gets pretty busy in the height of summer, but there really is something for everyone here. There is paying parking in the main town car parks, or what the locals tend to do is get to the beach early and park up on The Esplanade for free. You can just walk down the slope to the two beaches then!
