About our home

The cottage was built in 1856 and is nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds in a small hamlet called Brockhampton.

If piece and quiet is what your looking for, you won't find anything more perfect - our home has recently undergone a complete renovation uncovering an inglenook fireplace and many original features.

We are passionate about creating a space which is relaxing and comfortable, we're collectors in antique furniture and everything we have is there to be used and enjoyed, from the books to the 1920 gramophone.

As we are in the middle of the Gloucestershire countryside, mobile phone reception is limited, there is a landline and Wifi for surfing the web, we would however recommend going on the many walks and enjoying what the local countryside has to offer, there are many country houses to enjoy, as well as sleepy villages and golf courses nearby.

A stones throw from the cottage is CAMRA's - Pub of the year 2012, it's a little gem and still remains the heart of the village, all food is locally produced and cooked fresh using the finest ingredients.

The cottage itself is a total rural retreat, we have 2 huge chesterfields with a large footstool in the living room for relaxing, reading or the occasional afternoon snooze. Each room is light and airy with surprisingly high ceilings. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, Belfast sink, wine cooler and Nespresso machine.
The main bathroom has a large roll top bath, perfect for sharing (or just spoiling yourself), with a great shower and double basins, the main bedroom is large and full of character.

The beautiful Spa town of Cheltenham is 15 minutes drive and has a wonderful array of boutique and high street shops, fantastic restaurants, bars and packed full of art and culture!

If your looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life or just looking to get some piece and quiet, our home is perfect for you, it really is country idyll.

We love the countryside but equally love the city, we would like to swap what we have for the more hustle and bustle of city life for short exchanges. Although we are looking at city locations we are open to swapping anywhere.
