About our home

Our historic home was totally renovated five years ago and provides an easy going base for touring the area (The lower garden is presently being landscaped and may not be finished in time for your visit but there is a large sun-terrace shown here). Bruton is 3hrs from Hackney via nearby motorways. You can fly directly to Florida from the nearby Bristol Airport. Historic Bath and Salisbury are each 1hr away by car. By arrangement I could make my own car available for use.

More about us

  1. I am a retired architect with a continuing interest in the built environment

  2. My family is now fairly widely spread although I will shortly have two children (and their families) in Australia

  3. Towards the end of my career I worked extensively in conservation and my home demonstrates aspects of this
