• Our home is a 5 bedroom detached house, with thatched roof in the quiet rural hamlet of Ram Alley
• We are only 5 miles from the busy market town of Marlborough, 2 miles from local shops and amenities
• Semi-Rural location, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with wonderful views over the surrounding farmland and countryside

Where is it?

Beautiful thatched house in the heart of the English countryside - in Wiltshire. Our house features a large, family kitchen with Aga oven, alongside a dining room and cosy snug with open fireplace to relax in the winter evenings. Two sitting rooms overlook a verdant and large English garden, with patio, lawn, flowerbeds, an orchard, vegetable garden, pond and mature trees leading down to miles of open fields. We have five bedrooms, including one self-contained room with en-suite bathroom in a separate wing of the house.

Stonehenge & Avebury World Heritage archaeological sites are within 15 miles, Salisbury Cathedral – 25 miles, numerous English country houses and estates (open to the public) within a 45 minute radius.
Spot of exercise
Numerous country walks, paths, canal tow paths available directly from the house and close by. We have detailed Ordinance Survey maps of the local area and books suggesting popular routes. We have 4 adult bicycles (2 ladies, 2 x gents) which can be used on many of the local routes and forest tracks which have no traffic. The local walks and tracks also provide routes for those who want to run taking you through the picturesque countryside.
Day tripping
London is 75mins away by train from the local station, Great Bedwyn which is 5 mins drive. Oxford, Bath, Bristol, Southampton, Bournemouth, Lyme Regis, Wessex/Dorset are all within 1-2 hour drive.
