About our home

Our home has recently undergone a refurbishment, has beautiful gardens which has a running stream flowing the full length. The home was built in the 1860's as a out of town retreat and was part of a larger farming estate. It is 5 minutes walk to the river and local amenities. The house is detached and very pretty.

There are 3 pubs in the village serving local beers and food and we often follow this up with a short walk down the river.

The area is well served by transport links and you can be in London in 1 hour and 20 minutes. Nottingham is 7 miles away and benefits from nightlife, restaurants and shopping. We are able to recommend some great places to eat out.

Birmingham, Leeds, and Manchester are all within a few hours and offer some great places for the tourist. if you prefer adrenaline, then Alton Towers theme park is 40 minutes away. Whatever you prefer, Nottingham is centrally located for some excellent days out.
