About our home

Comfortable, original home in Cambridge, for instance, the hall tiles have been there for over 100 years, since the house was built. We think the house has a wonderful, happy feel. Two of the three bedrooms are doubles and the third is a single, and all have the same quality of quiet that is so lovely. There is a bike which you can use. In this location, you don't need a car for local amenities, particularly as Cambridge is pretty restricted traffic-flow wise; biking is usually quicker. There are plenty if places to hire bikes too.

More about us

  1. I am a yoga teacher living with my daughter, Beth, (aged 15); we want to go to Thailand this summer. I am widely travelled and enjoy seeing new cultures and exploring new places, Beth and I were in Hong Kong over the autumn and enjoyed it very much.

Where is it?

Ideally located, the house is walking distance to Cambridge city centre (10 min), to the river (5 mins) and colleges (12 mins); Our Street is a smart street with friendly neighbours and is considered to be a well heeded area, its a pretty area; if you want to explore Cambridge its ideal, and as a place to come back to after a day or two in London, also perfect. London is only 45 min by fast train, and the station is around £8, in a cab, or cycling (recommended) is 20mins. The Cambridge/London line takes you into Kings Cross, and direct to the channel Tunnel train, so you could be in Paris in just over 3 hours! There may be car for you to use as well, so you may want to explore the Norfolk coast, for instance, which is breathtaking, and around 2 hours drive away. There are plenty of places to stay there, too.
