About our home

This exceptional grade II* Queen Anne country house is totally idyllic and tucked away along the winding roads, in the quiet apple orchards of east Kent. There is a large old Aga in a old fireplace in the kitchen, 2 big sitting rooms with sliding sash windows and large hall with flag stone floor and a big dining table for entertaining, a magnificent original staircase, panelled bedrooms and roll top baths. Furnished with antiques and antiquaries and a large glass balloon chandelier hanging in the double height staircase. The bedrooms are well furnished with luxury bed linens.

The front garden has a gorgeous large weeping willow, a sweeping gravel drive lined with Azaleas, Camelias and Rhododendrons. There are lawns and there is a duck pond. The garden stretches down to the towards a river where there are views out across the open countryside. A lovely country pub is 2 minutes walk away. The back garden is very private and perfect for BBQ's and relaxing. There is a large wooden barn - perfect for tinkering in and also a garage for car parking.
There are some lovely rural walks or cycle rides along and plenty of coast line and Viking trails to explore.

We are just 10 mins drive to the sandy beaches of Sandwich, where Royal St George's golf club is. Ramsgate and the wonderful Historic harbour is 15 mins drive away and whitstable with its delightful pebble beaches, eclectic boutique shopping street and world reknown Oysters and sea food. The whitstable Brewery must also be visited. Canterbury is also just 15 mins away, fantastic shopping, Theatres, restaurants and a look around the Cathedral. There is also Margate with the New contemporary Turner art gallery and lots of quirky antique shops to explore.

London is just 1.20 hours drive or why not take a day trip to France. Dover is just 20 minutes away and the Channel tunnel is just an one hour to France.

Use of car. An Audi estate or Audi TT.
