Our apartment is located in a small development on a tree lined street in the sought after area of Pontcanna. The apartment has video entry, an open plan lounge / dining / kitchen with comfortable sofas, modern kitchen appliances and Sky+HD on a flat screen TV. Our subscription offers a full package including sports and movies including broadband wi-fi. There are two bedrooms, one with a king size memory foam bed, the other with a comfortable sofa bed which is slightly larger than a king size. There are two modern bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath. There is dedicated parking space (off road) right outside the front door and we are willing to discuss car swapping.
The apartment is a 2 minute walk into the beautiful Bute Park which backs onto Cardiff Castle; where you can enjoy walks through the park or along the river, hire bikes for rides along the Taff trail or try horse riding (from the stables a mile from the apartment). There’s even a river boat taxi stop to Cardiff Bay within minutes of the apartment. We are a 10 minute walk to the city centre (through the park) with shopping to suit every taste, from the award winning St David's Centre to the boutique shops in the Victorian arcades. Pontcanna itself has many chic restaurants, cafes and bars as well as spas, delicatessens and a few famous faces!
Sports fans will love the location; we are 100 metres from the Welsh Institute of Sport, 200 metres from the Glamorgan County Cricket Ground, a 10 minute walk to the Millennium stadium and a 5 minute drive to the Cardiff City Stadium.
Music and theatre lovers aren’t left out either, you can walk to St David’s Hall, the New Theatre and the Motopoint arena in town. The Millennium Centre hosts large productions while Chapter Arts Centre in Pontcanna is the place to be for cinema and theatre lovers (and they do a good steak too!)
Also in Cardiff and surrounding area you can visit:
• Cardiff Bay (restaurants, bars, walks along the barrage)
• The National Museum of Wales (free entry, one of Europe’s finest impressionist art collections)
• Museum of Welsh Life (free entry, Wales most popular heritage destination)
• Castle Coch (a Victorian fantasy castle nestled on a hillside above Cardiff)
• Caerphilly Castle (one of the largest fortresses in Europe with a tower that ‘out leans’ that of Pisa)

Slightly further afield you can also visit the Brecon Beacons National Park (Pen y Fan is the highest peak in Southern Britain) which is only a 45 minute drive or the stunning beaches on the Gower which are around an hour away.
